The Vizsla is a Hungarian breed that has a long history, dating back to the 10th century. The breed faced near extinction after World War II but was revived in the mid-20th century and has since gained popularity as a versatile sporting and family dog.

Vizslas are medium to large dogs. Males typically weigh between 55 to 65 pounds (25 to 30 kg) and stand about 24 to 27 inches (61 to 69 cm) tall at the shoulder. Females generally weigh between 44 to 60 pounds (20 to 27 kg) and have a height of 21 to 24 inches (53 to 61 cm). They are lean and athletic in build.

Vizslas are known for their affectionate, energetic, and intelligent nature. They are highly social dogs that thrive on human interaction and companionship. Their loyalty and gentle demeanor make them good family pets; however, they can be sensitive and may not thrive well in harsh training environments.
